However, when officials of Nigerian Breweries’ Premium beer brand Gulder, were deciding on the first location to introduce a new mega consumer engagement platform known as Club Ultimate, it wasn’t the great city of Lagos that came to mind, it was the popular city of Port Harcourt.
A world within a world, Port Harcourt can best be described as “different” and “special”, this is what makes it the perfect location to introduce Club Ultimate; a platform that promises to deliver a different kind of experience in partying events, through a special showcase of the spectacular and the extraordinary.
The organizers of Club Ultimate are fully aware that there are three key things to consider when engineering the sort of life changing experience the show has been commissioned to deliver. The first is the visuals (what the guests will see); the second is the sound (what the guests will hear) and finally the choice of a good venue (the ambiance of the scene).
While Lagos could easily boast a good number of scenic locations that would create the right ambiance for an event of this magnitude, Gulder has taken a different approach with Port Harcourt; they are transforming the Aztech Arcum – a two thousand seater-capacity hall located at Stadium Road, Port Harcourt – into a mega night club and with so many amazing features and designs.
For instance, guests at Club Ultimate can only gain access into the venue by swiping their IVs – a special VIP Smart Card – at the front door; these smart cards have been programmed to automatically update the social media profiles of the guests once they’re used at the door.
Insiders have confirmed that some of the most amazing and daring entertainers from around the world have been recruited to thrill and excite the Port Harcourt crowd this Friday at the event. But the organizers plan for it to be a special surprise and have refused to reveal the identity of these mystery performers.
Only three names have been revealed so far; that of the hype man and host, Denrele Edun; the electrifying VJ from popular South African-based musical TV station,Channel O.
The selection of Denrele as host, in light of his controversial and energetic lifestyle and his eccentric personality, is a clear indication of the jaw dropping kind of entertainment that Gulder has prepared for guests at Club Ultimate this Friday night in Port Harcourt.
The two other revealed names are those of the performers at the Dj booth where a mega battle between Lagos and Port Harcourt will most definitely happen.
Billed to perform at Club Ultimate, is one of Lagos’ finest celebrity DJs, the renowned DJ Humility, whose rise to fame and fortune is well documented in the pages of the Nigerian music industry. Dj Humility who has won numerous Dj battles and awards, has performed some of the biggest concerts events in Africa. He is currently a resident Dj at Rhythm FM Lagos.
His rival this Friday night is Dj Kelvin, also a resident Dj at Rhythm FM (Port Harcourt), Kelvin is renowned in Port Harcourt as one of the pioneers of the modern urban music industry. He is arguably one of the most respected Djs in Port Harcourt.This Friday night at Club Ultimate, Dj Kelvin will be defending the integrity of his home base as he battles DJ Humility for the delight of the guests.
