On November 5, during the AGM of CIPR Scotland, I was appointed as a committee member. I have been a CIPR member for many years but did not get involved beyond trainings and resources, because my primary practice domain was Nigeria where my company and I continue to do the little we can to support the industry, and relevant regulators and associations like NIPR and PRCAN.

But I started considering getting more involved when Edinburgh became my second home in 2017. I love living in Edinburgh and for two years considered the possibility of setting up BHM there. That decision was finally made this August, when we incorporated in the UK. All other things being equal you should be hearing about our roll out and operations in Q1 2021.
My plan is to contribute to the public relations and communications industry in Scotland, and across the UK, the same way I have done in Nigeria  And putting my self up to serve on the Scotland CIPR committee is a step in that direction.
A second step is this: I have also been elected to serve as a Council Member at the PRCA. You can read the announcement HERE.
I see both assignments as an opportunity to work with the really talented people in both organisations towards making our industry and profession truly better. Also importantly, I’ll look forward to learning as much as I can, making new friends, and sharing all the knowledge I’ve gathered building BHM over the past 14 years.
The work we do plays a crucial role in shaping the world, especially at critical periods like we are witnessing. And I consider it a privilege to be able to get involved.
It Is Possible.
