Drove through the rain from Ikeja to VI Monday night.

Lagosians are suffering.

So many stranded men and women. All drenched and standing by the road. No buses.

If you can’t provide efficient public transportation, at least provide decent ‘bus stops’ that can protect us when it rains.

First time in Dubai two weeks ago. Was shocked to see air conditioned ‘ bus stops’ all over.

In Mauritius (where I also visited for the first time weeks ago) transportation is free for students.

Everywhere you go you see conscious efforts by the system to make life easy for the young, the old, the unemployed, the disadvantaged.

The Lagos/Nigerian system only makes living here easier for the privileged.

You better get rich. Or die trying.

I’m wondering: how will God really bless a nation that doesn’t care for its people?

We definitely can do better. ‘We’.
