Afolabi Idowu like a lot of people probably wasn’t convinced that he would be riding home with a Car before the end of the year. But having seen the flyer for Buy N Win at Shoprite and being a big fan of the American honey decided to take part in it.
15th of December 2016 began as just another day for 34 year old Afolabi Idowu who works at a Haulage company in Lagos. Few days to the end of the year, his dream of owning a car still hadn’t materialized. But with hope in his heart, he stopped by at Shoprite Ikeja where the raffle finale of the Buy N Win promo was holding.
He was joined by other participants of the promo and watched on as tickets were picked at random for several prizes. His heart nearly stopped when music superstar 2Baba dipped into the raffle drum and called out his name as the winner of the American Honey Hyundai Accent.
He couldn’t hold in his delight at finally having his dream fulfilled. His wife that was with him at the draw also expressed her happiness at the unlikely event that even though they came to the venue on foot, they left as owners of a brand new car.
