This weekend, Port Harcourt’s entertainment personalities will be spotting talents for God’s Children Great Talent competition at the auditions holding on the 21st & 22nd of April, 2017 at Hotel Presidential, Port Harcourt, Rivers state.
Nigerian gospel artiste Preye Odede , Radio Presenter, Elder Xtra Large, Talented Gospel singer, Preye Omayuku, Nigeria’s beloved singer, Gospel Artiste, Afy Douglas, Singer & Choreographer, Bobby Blankson, Season 2 winner of Nigerian Idol, Mercy Chinwe and Popular Nigerian Comedian, K.O Baba have been announced as scouts for the Port Harcourt leg of GCGT 7 Auditions. The scouts will deploy their individual years of experience in the entertainment industry to select contestants during the audition days.
Celebrated Radio presenter Loknan Dombin AKA “Eldee XXL” is a playful character best described as a hip hop encyclopedia. A veteran broadcaster, Eldee XXL brings his boisterous personality with vast general knowledge to the popular morning drive show on Rhythm FM in Port Harcourt. Eldee XXL is highly respected for being one of the first radio personalities to recognize the importance of supporting local acts and has an open door policy towards budding artists.
Port Harcourt based gospel singer, Ebiere Ohochukwu popularly known, as Ebiere Ekiye is one of Nigeria’s leading gospel artistes. Known for her consistency in Gospel genre, Ebiere has worked with world-renowned Nigerian Gospel artistes like Mike Aremu, Sinach, Asu Ekiye amongst others.
Nigerian gospel music minister and songwriter Preye Odede came into lime light with the release of his hit song “Ebezina”. He is also credited with hit songs such as Bulie, Hosanna and Nanaowei that went viral and continues to bless a lot of lives.
Ugele Blankson popularly known as ‘Bobby Blankson’ is a professional dancer and choreographer born in Port Harcourt. He graduated with a certificate in management and has been on popular dance platforms like Dance with Peter.
These personalities and more will make the preliminary selections prior to the GCGT7 judges pruning the final regional list. Interested participants for this region who were unable to register online, can register at the audition venue, Hotel Presidential, 5141 Aba Road, Port Harcourt, Rivers state by 8.30am prompt.
God’s Children Great talent (GCGT) is Africa’s Biggest Youth Talent Competition. An initiative by City of David Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God that continues to identify and celebrate talents in children and young adults from age 5 to 20 years.
