The MTN Foundation has once again demonstrated its commitment to academic excellence and youth empowerment with the upcoming 2025 Scholarship Award Ceremony and Alumni Induction, set for October 29, 2025. The prestigious event will be held simultaneously in Enugu and Lagos on October 29, and will conclude in Abuja on November 6, 2025, showcasing MTN’s nationwide impact in supporting Nigeria’s brightest students.
Since its inception, the MTN Scholarship Scheme has grown into one of the most significant private-sector contributions to Nigeria’s education sector. With over 14,728 scholarships awarded and more than ₦3 billion invested, the programme remains a leading corporate initiative driving social development and educational opportunity across the country.
The 2025 award ceremony will honour outstanding undergraduates who have excelled through their academic achievements, resilience, and leadership potential. Each recipient will be awarded an annual grant of ₦300,000, renewable based on continued performance, providing vital support throughout their academic journey. The event will also formally induct graduating scholars into the MTN Scholarship Alumni network, a dynamic community of young professionals who are making notable impacts within their industries and communities nationwide.
The Alumni network plays a crucial role in fostering mentorship, collaboration, and career development, helping graduates sustain their momentum as they transition into the workforce and become tomorrow’s leaders.
