The star studded screening of MTV Shuga’s highly anticipated new season took place at Filmhouse Cinemas,IMAX, Lekki on Thursday, 22nd February. The event was graced by a plethora of celebrities and media personalities such as Dr Sid, Kiss Daniel, Solidstar, Tee A, Alex Okosi, Yolanda Okereke, Emmanuel Ikubese, Ill Bliss, Bolanle, Vector and a host of others.
Ready to have a great time, some cast members showed off their Shaku Shaku skills while looking glamorous and slaying each and every inch of their outfits.
Before the screening of the show began, the Nigerian representative of Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Dr Paulin Basinga, a delegate from the Federal Ministry of Health, Dr. Adebimpe Adebiyi, as well as MTV Staying Alive Foundation Executive Director, George Arnold, gave brief talks about the project and the messages they hope to pass on their viewers.
The audience was treated to not one, but three episodes, from the season. Each storyline in Shuga’s new season is interwoven with another, which makes for compelling and interesting watch. Both the returning cast and the new cast delivered riveting performances, which was complemented with brilliant direction and stunning production.
The season was handled by three ace Nollywood Directors, Tolulope Ajayi, Ishaya Bako and Tope Oshin, While there were different brains behind the project, the show still maintained a commendable level of consistency and coherence. Without a doubt, the new season will resonate with viewers not only around the country, but also around the world.
