Nigerian Breweries Plc makers of Gulder Lager Beer has announced a homecoming tour for the winner of the 12th season of the reality television show Gulder Ultimate Search (GUS), Odudu Ime Otu. The homecoming tour is set to commence on Friday, April 8, 2022, in the capital city of Uyo, and will run through to Sunday, April 10, 2022.
Noted for his fondness for his home state, the tour will serve the purpose of bringing him closer to his roots to celebrate his tremendous wins in the reality show, where he entered the show as a wildcard and beat 17 other contestants to emerge champion.
Furthermore, the tour will double as an outreach program for widows in the community. In recent times, Odudu who was raised solely by his mother has grown to be compassionate towards widows. This affection was developed from an understanding of the travails widows and single mothers go through in society to provide for their families.
Upon arrival, the Craftsman will be engaged in a series of radio tours for sensitisation purposes. The following day, Saturday, April 9, Otu will visit and spend quality time with the widows under the care of The Widow Of Zarephath Foundation, Uyo, as he announces projects to boost their socioeconomic status.
The final day will be marked in a grand celebratory style at the Big Stream Lounge which will entertain a select number of guests. The Homecoming party will feature the best of music, comedy, trivia games, and great refreshments.
Introduced to the Nigerian market in 1970, the Gulder Brand has shown resilience by remaining one of the country’s top beer choices. It echoes this resilience through the GUS reality TV show that has – in 12 editions – rewarded enterprising young men and women possessing great intellect and physical stamina.
