Nigerian filmmaker and entrepreneur Chris Ihidero is set to hold the 2nd edition of his creative master class series, ‘Story Story’. The free three-day workshop holds from the 30th May – 1st June 2016 at the British Council, Ikoyi.

The last edition of the workshop, which held in October 2015, saw participants taken through a wide range of storytelling techniques including the creation of African stories that sell, how to ride on the current social media wave with respect to storytelling, and developing the business side of the art.

The aim of the workshop is to help creative practitioners who are already telling stories through their various platforms to be better writers and also an effort to help young and established writers; producers and directors improve on a skill that’s essential in a lot of ways.

Ihidero remarked that, “I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the first edition and I’m really looking forward to this edition and I know it will be truly inspirational. My passion for film and filmmaking and my knowledge of what it takes to tell a story visually, combined with the expertise of other resource persons we are inviting this time,  will further enrich the practical, fundamental elements of the second edition of the workshop”

The workshop will empower a class of thirty-five (35) participants, following a rigorous selection process.

With inspiring film examples, practical exercises, and analysis of participants’ own work, the workshop is set to give participants all they need.

The attendees will be trained in multidimensional communication skills of converting key messages into stories and exploring the power of the narrative.

Chris Ihidero’s  ‘Story Story’ Masterclass will also feature a faculty of established and respected creative professionals which includes Nkiru Njoku, Femi Ogunsanwo, Emmanuel Uduma, Ayeni Adekunle and many more.

Entries for this edition are now open and interested participants can submit their articles on the website Storystory.ng

All completed entries, including a statement of interest, must be returned for further screening and selection of the final 35 workshop participants on or before Friday 20th of May 2016.
