The International Communications Consultancy Organisation (ICCO) has announced Ayeni Adekunle, the founder and CEO of leading Media and Public Relations company, BlackHouse Media (BHM), Femi Falodun, the CEO of Marketing, Media and Technology company, ID Africa, Moliehi Molekoa, the Managing Director of the Pan African reputation management consultancy, Magna Carta, and Enitan Kehinde, General Manager of BHM’s UK operations, as speakers at the ICCO Global Summit to hold on November 17 and 18, 2021. Falodun and Moliehi also serve as directors for BHM in the UK.

With close to sixty years’ experience between them, the four communication professionals possess knowledge on a wide array of subjects relevant to marketing, PR and communications across several sectors.

For two days in London, Ayeni, Femi, Moliehi, and Enitan will join PR consultants and c-suite executives from thirty different countries. Focusing on analyzing emerging trends, challenges and opportunities, the speakers will provide cutting-edge insights and conversations that will lead PR practitioners to re-evaluate the industry.

BHM is also the first African Platinum Sponsor of the summit. Commenting on the decision to partner with the ICCO on the over 20-year-old annual event, Ayeni said: “By putting BHM at the forefront of activities like the ICCO Summit, we are making ourselves heard and deepening our engagement with the international PR community. I hope to see greater African participation and representation at every level in global organisations and events. This is just the beginning.”

Ayeni’s session at the event will discuss how free media and free speech are being transformed and complicated by social media, misinformation, hate speech, censorship, digital political campaigning, as well as the declining trust in traditional media and the overall impact of these on the PR industry.

Falodun will speak on a panel that will examine trends and challenges in the African PR and Communications market. His session will also expound on how Africa presents an opportunity to become the world’s largest free trade area, connecting over a billion people across 55 countries with a combined GDP of almost £3 trillion.

Moliehi will join the panel that will interrogate what can be done to accelerate the pace of change in public relations. Her session will explore gender balance in PR and how more women can be encouraged to take on leadership roles in the PR industry to ensure a more balanced and profitable industry.

Enitan will be discussing the most critical skills that PR talents must develop over the next five years, as well as covering the ways the industry can innovate to retain talented communicators.

Nitin Mantri, President, ICCO commented: “ICCO is a global organisation, and it is important that is reflected not just in our diverse, international speaker programme and membership but also our sponsor line up, so I am delighted that Ayeni has taken this step to support the event, which is a positive statement of intent and ambition from him and his agency.”

The ICCO Global Summit has for over 20 years served as an essential event for practitioners with an international remit to exchange views, gain new perspectives and develop fresh ideas on the future of the global PR and communications industry.
