Friends, colleagues, partners, and family members gathered to celebrate Abisoye Fagade as he marked his birthday party on Wednesday, March 8, 2022. The star-studded event was organised by Friends of Fagade Abisoye, and held at the prestigious Civic Center, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The event was well attended by Nigerian political heavyweights who showed up to support Fagade, some notable faces were; Otunba Femi Pedro, former Deputy Governor, Lagos State; Shina Peller, Member, House of Reps; Steve Ayorinde, former Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Lagos, and Honorable Titi Oseni-Gomez, former Ogun Speaker.

Including royal fathers, Oba Francis Olusola Alao, Olugbon of Orile-Igbon in Surulere, Ogbomosho, Oyo State; Oba Abdulwasiu Omogbolahan Lawal, Oniru of Iru Land, and former Assistant Inspector General of Police (RTD), Aare Akogun Tunji Alapini.

While giving a speech at the event, Fagade announced the official launch of his foundation – OSMD Network, and pledged his support to the State. “As you already know, I have been giving back to my state and local communities in Oyo, through the Oyo Si Maa Dun project. We have trained over 10,000 people in 5years, donated over N250M to different causes, and intervened in so many areas in local governments across Ibadan.” he said.

He also declared his intention to contest for the office of Governor in Oyo State. A marketing communication specialist by profession, Fagade believes that Oyo State needs fresh ideas and urgent solutions and strategic leadership.

When asked to comment on Abisoye’s character, Shina Peller, Member, House of Reps said: “Fagade is my brother, we have been through so much together, and he has my complete support in his political aspirations because there is no one more capable.”

Abisoye Fagade, who manages the Sodium Group of companies, is also the convener of the Oyo Si Ma Dun (OSMD) Network. He was born in Ibadan and attended Lagelu Grammar school, before proceeding to Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife to study Demography and Statistics. He is credited with being a significant part of the marketing team that propelled the Indomie brand to heritage status.
