Africa Breakfast Convos (ABC) 2026 has named Stephanie Busari, Afua Hagan and Eden Harris as moderators for the event on Friday. The three journalists will guide conversations on Africa’s growth opportunities, financing needs, and global investment story at the World Trade Center on Friday, September 25, 2026. ABC will take place on the sidelines of the 81st United Nations General Assembly (UNGA81), framing discussions around key economic milestones such as Kenya’s 5.3% Q1 2026 GDP growth and U.S.-Ghana bilateral goods trade of $2.5 billion.
Busari is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of SBB Media and a former CNN correspondent. She has over 25 years of international media experience, including nearly two decades at CNN International. She pioneered CNN’s first digital multiplatform bureau in Nigeria and led the network’s coverage of major African stories. Her journalism has earned Peabody, Emmy, and Gracie recognition.
An award-winning journalist and broadcaster, Hagan has worked across television, radio, and print. Her experience includes roles and appearances on CNBC, ITV, the British Broadcasting Corporation, Sky News, CNN, and News Central Africa. She has also worked as an editor, presenter, event host, and moderator.
On the other hand, Harris serves as Chief Special Correspondent at Connecting Africa. The international correspondent divides her time between Accra and Washington, D.C., and covers Africa, technology, finance, and the relationship between the continent and its diaspora. Her reporting experience includes coverage of the White House, Capitol Hill, the United States Supreme Court, and federal agencies.
The moderators will guide discussions on the capital, policies, partnerships, and narratives shaping Africa’s next phase of growth. The sessions form part of ABC 2026’s focus on how Africa can convert its economic opportunities and global influence into sustainable commercial value.
The speaker lineup will feature Hackim Abdul, Director of Citi’s Public Sector Group for Africa; Yasamin Alttahir, Director of Global Marketing, Communications and External Affairs at The King’s Trust International and Kayode Akintemi, Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief of News Central TV. Claudine Moore, Managing Director for Africa at Allison Worldwide; Ayeni Adekunle, Chief Executive Officer of BHM Holdings; Akunna Cook, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Next Narrative Africa; and Otunba (Dr.) Bimbola Ashiru, Chairman, Blackcod Group and Group Director, Odu’a Investment Company Limited will also lead conversations at the event.
