The notable guest list was a mix of Nigeria’s cultural and corporate elite, including Chris Ubosi, Funso Aina, Adebola Williams, Bolanle Olukanni, Chude Jideonwo and The Macallan’s Hammed Adebiyi. Other guests included Ike Chioke, Tunde Mabawonku, Zainab Balogun, Lamide Akintobi, Wale Olaleye, Steve Ayorinde, Bisola Edun, and Yemi Adamolekun. BHM founder Ayeni Adekunle says the company is committed to excellence and craftsmanship and that he continues to be a big believer in Nigeria, and Africa. “The name Black House Media is from the Yoruba proverb that loosely translates to ‘it is from the black pot that the white pap is produced.’ Look at the pot, it looks dirty. Think of how they cook in the village with firewood and how messy and dirty the pot that makes pap is and how pure and nourishing the pap is. That is how I see Nigeria and Africa, and my dream and vision for the company for my friends and for my country is that we continue to do great things.”

Atteh led guests in a special toast with a 25-year-old sherry oak release, perfectly encapsulating the occasion as “a celebration of shared craftsmanship and purpose.”
