There is a shortlist of things that can cause collective excitement in the hearts of Nigerians.

The most recent buzz makers are the just concluded AFCON, Big Brother Naija, Beyonce’s new album and of course, the Lion King Movie!

From the moment the movie trailer was released, Nigerians have been looking forward to the movie release date.

Luckily, some people got to experience the Lion King movie premiere in Lagos, courtesy of premium malt brand, Amstel Malta, and here are the five things you missed from the premiere:

  1. The Jungle Festival

Stepping into the Lion King Jungle Festival was like stepping into Lion King’s Pride Land. The movie premiere had a jungle setting where relatable Lion King artefacts were strategically placed. Attendees had a fun time taking pictures in the Jungle as well as pointing out things they remembered from the movie. The attendees were enthralled with the jungle festival, so much so that they didn’t want to leave the physical Pride Land to watch the Pride Land on the screens.

        2. Amazing Games

Asides from the relatable Lion King artefacts, there were also fun games like Jenga, Monopoly, Chess, Scrabble and Foosball for families and friends to enjoy. The kids also got their faces painted as any of their favourite Lion King characters.

         3. Chilling with Nigerian Stars

Top Nigerian celebrities including famous movie stars; Dakore Egbuson, Enyinna Nwigwe, Linda Ihuoma – Ejiofor, Timini Egbuson and former Big Brother Naija finalist, Tobi Bakre were also present with their family members to interact with and enjoy the movie premiere experience with other attendees.

            4. Unlimited Supply of Amstel Malta

The Lion King movie premiere was basically Amstel Malta heaven. An unlimited supply of the delicious malt drink was accessible for everyone at the premiere.

        5. The Lion King Movie

The movie was all we hoped for and more! For the sake of the people that have not seen it yet, we will not be sharing any spoilers. The movie is almost 30 minutes longer than the original animation, just imagine all that could possibly happen in all that extra time.

The Lion King Movie Premiere is one of many other movie premieres sponsored by Amstel Malta. The brand recently sponsored the Bling Lagosians movie premiere as well as the new Tinsel episode that will be released on the 27th of July. The sponsorship of these movie premieres is one of many ways the brand encourages its consumers to live their best lives.
