Speaking on the new developments, Senior Brand manager, Fayrouz Nnenna Ifebigh-Hemeson explained that the reason behind the extension is to accommodate other interested participants.

‘The decision to extend the closure of entry is so we can allow more creative young individuals, who are at that stage in their life where they need to become independent; take charge of this opportunity. So far the response has been phenomenal and we are excited about it. We hope that the extra days will give the new applicants, graduates and Youth Corps members alike, enough time to be a part of the competition’, she said.

Edem Vindah, the Corporate Affairs Manager, NB Plc added that the brand’s sponsorship of the competition is to further support the growth of the creative industry. He said, ‘Fayrouz as a brand has always associated itself with the energy and creativity of the Nigerian youth. We have proven this with different campaigns in the past and we are sure of the success of this one too’

Registration is currently running on www.fayrouzloriginal.com/competition/. Auditions will kick off in May 2015 in different universities across the country including University of Lagos, the University of Ibadan, the University of Port Harcourt and the University of Nigeria, Enugu.
